I have an old wolf convection oven pilot lights, not the burners
I have an old wolf convection oven with a manual pilot and a baso gas valve. after following the leads from the motor and lights, I managed to get the lights to work. I changed the switches for both the fan motor and the lights. The unit was working well for half the day, but now the pilot comes on but the burners wont fire up. I jumped the thermostat and it did not solve the problem. I was tapping the solenoid on the baso valve and when my screwdriver touched it and a small electrical "fliberdigibit" behind the valve, the burners fired right up! I dont know what the thing is behind the valve but it has a lead coming from the solenoid valve and a lead coming from the t-stat. help! It wont fire up again... could the solenoid be failing?
