I have an older, original Flip, model F160B, Firmware = 73.02. My Flip was working fine, but I decided to move all of the videos off the camera and onto my computer. I updated the Flipshare software on my computer, and using the Flipshare program, copied the videos to the computer and indicated that I wanted them moved off of the camera at the same time. So far, so good. Now I can't turn on the Flip. If I connect it to the computer via USB, it is recognized (although there's nothing on it anymore) and the little screen turns on and clearly indicates "connected." and is illuminated with a USB icon. The camera responds to being plugged into the computer just fine. So, I "eject" it using the software, disconnect from the computer, and then...nothing. It will not turn on. I put in new batteries, but that didn't help. This is an orignal Flip, so there is no reset button. What happened when I upgraded the computer software and why can't I turn on my camera now?? This happened three years ago when I bought the camera, and I took the batteries out for four days, but that had no effect whatsoever, and the still-new Flip had to be sent to the manufacturer for service. I have had the batteries out for a week, tried again today, no change. Should I just throw it away?
