I have an Onkyo TS-DS939 receiver which worked for quit a while and then would not put out any sound when turned on. I would switch from TV to radio sources and after maybe 20 minutes it would start to work perfectly. It has been replaced and in storage for 5 years. Do you think there is a simple fix for this problem?
Since the unit eventually works as expected, I would first look for poor solder connections inside the unit. It is quite possible that hte prolonged storage has damaged a few connections. If you can solder, try looking at the solder connections and resolder any that appear grainy or have rings. Update this if that does not resolve the problem and we'll look further.
