I have an ultimate care II washer, it starts to wash and sputters. Its intermittent and then it stops all together. Washer will start back again only when I change out the start capacitor. I have replaced the motor (new), & new timer. What could be causing the washer to operate intermittent? I am getting 110v. HELP!! Thanks in advance

Start cap only works in the start and when you change it /i think it the time between the chang that make it work again . if the motor is new but working too hard it would stop on the over load and when it cools it work . try this remove the motor but leave it hook up to wiring harnes . and see if the motor will keep runing with out the trans load . if it does then you have a mach load and the motor cannot handle it so it shuts down . . other way to test is with a volt / amp meter . when the motor starts if the watage is too high motor will quit . or if amps are higher the normal the motor will quit . . try these and i hope they help mm feed back pls .. mm
if you have removed motor form the trans and it only runs for three min then shuts down / we would have to say there is no load on motor so trans can not be problem . and it's a electrical problem. have you cked the amount of power at the plug and is the pollarty proper . does it damage the cap ? or are you able to use a old one to get it to go again ? I would think that three min is enough time for the motor to get hot enough to shut down and when it cooled it would go again . i know that you have a new motor and timer . how much currant (watage or amps is the motor drawing ? and what is the line voltage. ? need to know .. mmif you have removed motor form the trans and it only runs for three min then shuts down / we would have to say there is no load on motor so trans can not be problem . and it's a electrical problem. have you cked the amount of power at the plug and is the pollarty proper . does it damage the cap ? or are you able to use a old one to get it to go again ? Does it really run after changing out this capacitor, or is it still sparodic? if so then you have an intermitant connection somewhere in the unit or the capacitor should be tested(depending on machine & age ) of the unit as a capacitor can break at the connections and fail, carefully check and wiggle these connections first and see if this solves your problem
You must have a problem with the pump. Some times sand gets in the pump and causes it to overheat, This makes the motor stall. Their could also be a small item of clothing in the pump. If you installed the motor coupling too tight against the tranny or motor it can cause them same symptoms you are describing. It has to be one of them 2 problems.
