I have an updraft evaporative cooler. I get a lot of white flakes coming through my vents. Looks like hard water calcium flakes. How do I resolve this issue?

Clean and service the cooler. remove the filters and gently wash them with a garden hose. isolate the power to the unit and wipe components with a damp cloth
