I have an1988 Chrysler fifth avenue. It has a miss, when you pull up to stop sign or red light it will stall out and die but starts right back up, sometimes back fire through carb if you hold gas throttle wrong. its electronic fuel control carb, I've changed plugs, wires, cap, button fuel filters, also heater blows fan works also heater lines in and out get hot but the dash control to switch from cold to hot won't work and can't find the defrost climate control things
Check for a vacuum leak under the hood. Most heater and a/c systems rely on vacuum pressure to open and close doors and direct hot and cold air. The vehicle stalling could also be that vacuum leak. Look for a small diameter hard plastic hose. They always seem to dry rot, if it's bad it will fall apart when you move it. Best way to find a leak is to use a 2'-3' piece of water hose. Put one end against your ear to listen for vacuum leaks while the engine is running.
