I have borrowed a small Homelite leaf blower (Yard Broom) with a 2 cycle engine and need to 'gas it up'. What is the correct oil to gas ratio for it.

If you go about 32:1 you will be OK. It may be a 40:1 unit, but better safe than sorry if you are not certain.
Stihl recommends 40:1, for most modern 20-stroke units, 50:1 is the correct fuel to oil ratio.
