I have bought used Nec GT5000, it does not power up at all. The lens hood is missing, lamps are installed ok. Went through troubleshooting, but not sure if it is because of missing lens hood or something else. Any help would be appreciated, thanks

Does power light blinks.The no of times it blinks is used to find the exact problem
If it does not on then the problem is with the power supply needs to be replaced. they will burn out if heat is excessive.

I don't think the lens hood have anything to do with this issue ..The only thing you may do is follow the power line..from the entry point and follow it on the exit of the power supply board ..and so on ..I think if it do not have any power at all something is wrong on the power board..Just get a measurement tool and measure all parts one by one ..or if you do not have power on the exit point ..you should change the board whole (the power board)
