you don't need any setting once you have the drivers.
Install the drivers first, after then, plug your printer to your computer. Then the computer should recognize and install the drivers.
Also check control panel, open the printer Icon and see if the printer has been installed. You should see the your printer name and make sure the printer is marked as default.
But if the computer does not still recognize the printer, then it means that not the correct driver for the printer. Because if it is, it should recognize it.
