I have downloaded the software from the internet and my camra is a VuPoint solutions DV-DM1-VP and i attempted to play my videos and they still will not play on my computer. What do i need to do to make it play on my computer?

You will have to download them, or open the camera as an external device and access them from the internal folder. They should play on Windows Media Player when you double click them.
