I have had Company of Heroes with Tales of Valor installed for about sox months now. Have played it frequently without any problems. Recently, I disconnected my monitor and hooked up the HDMI port to my TV. Since then, when I ty to load Company of Heroes I get a blank scrren on the laptop. I can hear the sound but no visuals. Any ideas on how to fix?

Your laptop must not support HDMI. Try using your old cable to see if thats the problem first.

Try to isolate the problem by disabling multiple monitors and external monitors in your laptop. You would usually see this setting on your graphics card application. Check the game configuration as well, usually, you can find a configuration file in its installation directory. Check for video settings there. Check your graphics card support as well, as this might be an incompatibility issue. Double check your game requirements too.
If this would fail, Save your game data and uninstall the game and reboot the computer. Reinstall the game and try it again.

It is very unlikely for your COH not to find the direct x drivers if it is installed properly. Please check if you have the latest version of direct x and if not install it. DO NOT attempt to uninstall your direct x to avoid further problems. Just update it if you don't have the latest version. Usually, game installers comes with a compatible version of direct x installers. Insert your game CD and look for a direct x installers and install it. Please try to repair your game as well. Run the game installer and choose "repair" and follow the prompts. Update your graphics cards drivers too.
If this won't work, we can try to use system restore, restore your computer to a date when you can remember that the game is still working. complete the system restore and try to run the game. If this would fail, the only option is to uninstall the game completely and reinstall it.

Do you still have the copy of the download? The reason why i ask you that is because we need to check if there are files that are corrupted and so that we can test if this is caused by a hardware or just software issue
