I have had my machine about 2 years and have loved it. But now when I turn on the steam valve it just squirts water and makes the pump noise but no steam comes out. I did notice that a few days ago when I decalcified water was coming out the bottom of the machine (alot) as well as out the spout and the machine smelled "hot" I called wholelattelove and can send it back for repairs that cost 100 but hate to be without my machine for 5 to 6 weeks. I want to bring it to a local serviceman if there is one...I believe the secondary boiler needs repalced. The machine still brews shots os good esspresso and will dispense hot water
Yes the steam booster boiler is damaged and a local gaggia repair agent should be able to repair it within an hour, they normally keep that part in stock.
I have EXACTLY the same problem. Thanks for helping out. Same thing, it happened after the descaling. One additional indicator: The prime light (I have the regular synchrony compact, not the digital model) was on constantly although water went thought the steam valve just fine. I got that resolved by just letting A LOT water run through.I have EXACTLY the same problem. Thanks for helping out. Same thing, it happened after the descaling.
