I have had to replace the fuel pump (in the fuel tank) on my John Deere 6400 tractor 3 times recently, each pump with only 50 hours on them. Any ideas why I'm having so many problems with the fuel pump? Is there more than one fuel pump on this kind of tractor?

The only thing i can think of is BAD earthing... OR bad contacts at the battery end, OR bad joints, in the wiring OR Too much current being delivered for some reason. maybe faulty alternator? OR bad earth on whole system. OR somehow the motor is being contaminated, by liquid ingress?
