I have installed the updated Ubuntu 9.1 on Windows XP computer but only have picture but no sound. How do I restore the sound to media and iplayer.? Thanks

Have you tried looking for sound drivers for linux / ubuntu ?
You have to download codec for your sound system. and install it.
