I have just purchased a used 501HT model and had it installed by a plumber and electrician. It does not seem to work, when I close the door and push the start button. Can you help ? Also, there is a liquid soap hose from the back; is liquid the recommended soap ? Can you use powder in them or not ? Any assistance is appreciated. Alicia
Dishwashers - Moyer Diebel - 24 in. 501HT Built-in Dishwasher
Hello, If your dishwasher has not worked since the intial set-up. It could be any number of problems. I would check and make sure your machine's electrical is hooked up properly. A common mistake during set-up of high temperature machine is an electrician will hook it up to 120V when it should be hooked up to 208V. There is also a service switch located on the inside of the lower service panel, usually marked FILL/ OFF/ ON This switch will need to be in the ON postion. Also the machine has a extended wash/deelime switch located under the door this will need to be turned off in order for the machine to begin a cycle. You can use a powdered detergent. A liquid detergent is the best way to go. Liquid is the most economical when set-up and titrated properly, as opposed to manualy filling the machine with powder every load. Powdered detergent often leaves a chemical residue on your warewash. Regards
