I have just reinstalled Windows XP Professional after having failed to get the PCI 0404 to work properly with Windows 7. However now with the latest drivers and DSP program on reboot or computer boot the DSP takes a full 4 minutes to load. It gets stuck at "loading effects presents" for the 4 minutes. Once it gets through that it seems to work OK. Obviously such a long boot time is unacceptable. This problem wasn't experienced previously with XP prior to Windows 7, but incidentally this four minute hang also happened with Windows 7. Now it seems to have followed to the clean install of Xp. Why and how to solve it ?

Please try to check if you have met the minimum requirements for Windows 7, check your memory if its enough for windows 7 and also your hard disk. And after installing back to XP you still encounter this problems try checking your memory again, detach it from the board and try cleaning it then insert back again.
