I have just set up my new gaggia caffitaly k111. For some reason it won't heat the water. Nothing is happening. The green and orange light come on almost automatically but when I press the coffee button it just makes a horrendous noise. When I press the steam button the green light goes out and nothing happens. The water is still stone cold. Help

If you can't even get a cup of hot water first - something is wrong with the unit. If you follow the insructions guide, it mentions for new unit you first try to get a cup of hot water (page 24). If this is not happening then you might take the unit back to the place of purchase for replacement. If the unit is new it should be under warranty.
