I have Koss KS 3161 - accidently changed some settings in PSCAN setup- now there is no picture on composite and component channels- no HDMI in DVD- connected with samsung 26" LCD TV
Pixi, First get the factory defaults on your device. All these devices have a way of going to the factory defaults. Once there, then you can reset the device to your liking.
Initially, if the KS3161 was inadvertently set to progressive scan mode and the TV is not capable, then there would be not display (but with audio) as you have posted.
Offhand, have you tried temporarily connecting the Y output (of the component video) of the KS3161 to the composite (yellow) input jack of the TV? Although the display would be in black & white, there would be display; i.e. if the system would allow it. If so, then you would be able to go back to the setup menu and correct/disable the progressive scan mode. If succesful, revert to correct connections.
You can either have progressive scan or HDMI in the video setup menu, you can't have both, so go back into the video menu of the DVD player and select HDMI as the output for the DVD player
if the menu change doesmn't solve the problem contact a dealer and buy a new dvd.if the menu change doesmn't solve the problem contact a dealer and buy a new dvd.

Well first of all you can try to reset your system to the factory default settings, to reset it press the reset button located on the back side of that system or hold down the "STOP" button on the system for 5 seconds while the system is in the OFF position. The system will reset itself back to factory settings.

Thanks
Then you just completely turn off your system for 24 hours, it helps you to reset it (this is a hard reset process).
Thanks
