Your plasma tv goes to standbye because protection circuit is activated . Usually there is some thing wrong with one of the boards inside your tv . First try to make a reset to your tv by disconnecting the main plug from wall socket , wait for 15 _30 minutes, then plug it ON , try to use remote controller to switch it ON . If the problem still exists ., then you may need to take it service centre or ask a specialized technicien to fix .
The click sound is the power relay coming on and off. The tv is sensing a power problem and shutting itself off. If you are handy, remove the back of set , disconnect the connectors to each board and check voltages out of the power supply. If they are not to speck, replace power supply board. If they are ok, reconnect one board at a time and see if power stays on. You should be able to find the bad board this way. Visually inspect each board for burned components or swollen capacitors.
