I have Magic Jack, and my new computer is recognizing that as my speaker, and not my Altec AV8300 speaker system. Is there a driver that I need to download, or is there another way to circumvent my problem?

The computer should pick the Magic Jack up as another drive, automatically. I would try the Magic Jack in a different USB port, and see if that solves the problem. The 3rd post from the bottom of the following link verifies that this could be an issue:
