I upgraded my spent capacitors for higher power IE: 30 to 50, also found a crack in the 16 pin amp chip. works like new. the capacitors are slightly under powered for most 100 amp systems and they fry like batteries left in a flashlight. The parts can be ordered online and they are noticeably bad upon visual inspection. if electronics is not you forte seek an electronics nut and they will be able to download specifications and schematics to replace parts. The capacitors seem to be the most common meltdown and only cost a few dollars online. just get the description on the existing capacitors and then upgrade the power rating for higher peak performance.
Ps. capacitors hold a charge and need to rest or be discharged before attempting to replace. Caution must be exercised.Ps. capacitors hold a charge and need to rest or be discharged before attempting to replace. Caution must be exercised.
