I have optima hd71- ceiling mount hooked to hdmi sattelit tv-and samsung home theatre - hd channels give me full screen- normal channels with 16:9 does not - have 2 vertical grey bars -tried all adjustments with display- edgemask overscan lex- i used to have a full screen with 16:9 - but something changed and i cant get it back

You're projector is most likely fine. Check your satellite box. Go to the menu and see how its set to display video. It may be trying to up-convert TV signals. Try different adjustments from there to see if you see any change.
