I have Packard Bell 2214 E1200 with Windows Vista Home Premium. Some time ago I bought a wireless mouse. When the receiver is plugged in to the computer, it gives the second peep when booting. There appears also this American Megatrends notification. When the computer has started up, there appears bluescreen error message, when I start to use this mouse. The mouse is manufactured by Advent and it is compatible with Windows Vista. In CMOS Setup Utility I have the following: USB KB Mouse Wake Up from S3 Disabled, Resume by PS KB (S3) Enabled and Resume by PS2 MS (S3) Enabled. When I remove the receiver of wireless mouse from the computer and use wired mouse, I do not get bluescreen error message at all. What should I do to fix this?
Hi! This things really happens, it did on me too. Try putting the receiver on a different usb port and see how it goes. If no luck on the port then you got a bad wireless mouse and needs replacement, or if you're good on wired mouse which dont give you a problem well its up to you. Hope this helps and have a good one!
Your solution to this issue was helpful. I removed the receiver from the back USB port to front. Since this change I have not received any bluescreen error messages. However, I would like to use the backside USB port for this receiver, because it is safer place. The backside USB ports work. For example, my wireless USB adapter and printer plugins are connected in to these ports. Is there anything I can do to make this receiver work on the backside USB ports of central unit?

Yes go ahead, try to put the receiver at the back and see how it goes.
