I have put my hayward 710 multiport valve assembly back together and need to figure out how to put the handle back on. The handle has a pin assembly and does not seem to fit once everything is assembled. What is the trick to get the handle on?

Place valve on ground, sit in chair and place feet on top of valve. Press down evenly and the spring will compress. Insert pin in one side of handle then tap in lightly with hammer until even.
