I have Quickbooks Pro 2007 installed on two computers and am trying to install it on a third but the third computer can't seem to read the disk. I get a message that the disk needs to be formatted

Yes, the hard drive you are install it to. HOWEVER -- if you have already running programs on that computer, you DO NOT want to format the drive, because that will destroy all the information on that drive. Also, the operating systems have to match -- in other words, you can't install a Windows version of QB on a Mac computer and vice-versa.

It sounds like the message indicates that the disk you are installing TO needs to be formatted, not the disk you are installing FROM!
