I have Royal crosscut papershredder - Model VF810. It won't operate because the red "overheat" light is on. I've waited for at least 30 minutes, but it still won't work. Is there a reset button or something else I can do?

If you "unplugged" the machine and let it sit for 1/2 hour and the "overheat" lite still won't go out then you probably fried the pcb inside the machine...you can call Royal at 1-800-524-0799 for parts advice.
