I have the Aloha Breeze tower fan and it got knocked over by my dog while it was running. Now it will run for a while just fine when you turn it on, but after a while it starts making an annoying rattling noise. You can turn it off and let it sit for a few minutes and when you turn it on the noise is gone..for a few minutes. I want to take it apart to see if there is anything I can fix, but I'm not really sure what to look for. Thanks
Sounds like when it was knocked over, the bearing sleeve was kicked out of alignment. Since there is expansion to the sleeve due to heat (friction by the rotation), this only happens when it is running a while. When taking it apart, take a good look at both bearings to see if any damage has occurred, squirt a little oil into the sleeves and try it out again.
