I have the Black and Decker Steam Iron model number F210. I have to tape the water tank hole closed so the water doesn't spill out all over my clothes. Also everytime I stand it up on the heel there is a blast of steam that shoots out. I know that this is a lower priced item but, It is all that I can afford to buy. Is there a cure for these problems?

With the problems you've described your iron having, it needs to be replaced. Unfortunately, the unit can't be repaired. The unit comes with a one year warranty from the date of purchase.
