I have the Bulldog Security DLX 500 installed in an 05 Nissan Pat
Thfinder. The car starts after pressing the start button but shuts off after about 10 seconds. The transmitter then resends the signal to start again and the car starts up again but shuts off again after 10 seconds. This happens 3 times before the car just stays off and the transmitter stops sending the start signal.

What type of car is it installed in? The problem is most likely either that there is a factory anti-theft that you have not disabled, or there is a second or third ignition wire that is not connected. If you can give me the year-make and model I can give you a specific wire connection.
