I have the Clarity Telephone XL45 in a room in Freedom Inn in Tucson, Arizona which is also located in the foothills for some mountains. We are experiencing radio interference during phone calls especially in the late afternoon and evening. It is an AM station that is coming through. We have tried various things including at this time putting some alumiun foil around the bottom to the phone. As you can tel we are desperate to get the problem solved. When the radio station is at it's loudest no can hear even those of us with good hearing. I have also put on a rectrangle shaped item that a Radio Shack salesman said might block the waves and I have also turned off the computer thinking it might be interfering. Please Help! Mary
Eliminating Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) is not a fun job. What happens, is the house wiring becomes a giant antenna for the AM radio station. Some low-tech solutions include grounding all the spare pairs in the cables, rerouting wires, and RFI filters. Here's one source http://www.sandman.com/rf.html
