I have this cd rom i need to know how I can get it to work on windows 8. oem. it wont install or run is there a updated version for this cd
Will not install. on windows 8.1 . nor can I set it in compatibility mode of windows xp in which it worked find

You mignt be better off to download e-sword from e-sword.net. There are many resources you can add to that program from that site as well as litterally hundreds more off the internet. bible-support.com has a vast add-on library. Almost everything free by the way including the main program.
