I have Toshiba Satellite A50 with Windows XP. After booting, when I give my login password, it is not taking. However, I noticed some keys are responding and some are not. All the letters of my password fall into the latter group, unfortunately

Hi, If you have noticed that the keyboard is not responding to certain keys, get a USB keyboard, plug it into the laptop and start the laptop up from a cold start, it should recognize the USB keyboard and let you type in your password (you may have to wait a minute or two for windows to install the drivers). If it lets you in to the operating system open a txt document and use your laptop keyboard to test the keys and make sure they are working.
