Hello there: There are a couple of different reasons this will happen First check the power cord and make sure that it is working properly if so remove the battery and check the battery connection areas to be sure that the area that the battery connects to is clean you can use a q-tip and some rubbing alcohol to do this clean both the battery connections and the connections on the gps it'self ok . and also check to see if the battery it'self is good if not it will need to be replaced with a new one . and also check the power connection on the device itself to see if it is loose or broken Now if all of this is ok you can assume that the main board has a problem and needs to be serviced a by a qualified gps tech If you have your warranty i would consider to try to use it ok Hope this is very helpful for you.
