I have wavy white lines across computer screen that I can erase by moving mouse over but they keep coming back how can I get rid of them so that I can play my games I have NVIDIA GeForce 8500. I have used discs to return to factory settings and the lines are still there

The lines are called video corruption and are caused by faulty video memory chips - the video card is dying. You will have to replace it.
