I have Xerox 8550 coming up with a jam when the printer starts up. The C3T error code is given. Today I opened it up and following the instructions from the Service Manual I did the homing procedures on the cleaning blade and checked for the Process Drive positions and those were fine. The printer however when it starts up at around 30-40% warm up gives a loud noise and the paper jams. Any ideas?
Two things normally cause that. Look in the area inside the top cover where there are 2 green guides that flip up so you can clear a jam off the drum. See if the clear mylar guide it bent or cut causing the jam. If that is ok then more than likely you have a process drive timing problem. That is the drive gear assembly on the right side of the machine. You can try removing it and retiming it by inerting pins throught the timing holes. I suspect a process Drive timing problem
