I havea 10 sheet shreader and my dog chewedoff the male end o the power cord off and it is polarized how do I figure which wire lead goes to the loarge side of the new plug

Purchase a three prong plug. Cut the cord at the plug. Strip the insulating cover back about 2 inches. Slide the wire through the clamp end of the plug. You should see three wires. Connect the white wire to the silver screw, the black wire to the bronze or gold screw, and the green wire to th green ground screw. Tighten the clamp on the power cord
