I installed my leapfrog connect for my Tag reader. It says to plug in the Tag with the USB cable to the computer ( which i did) and turned it on. For some reason its not picking up so i cant go to the next step. What do I need to do? Or why isnt the Tag or the computer registering itself? HELP!!!!

I'm having the same problem. The LeapFrog support site has a page that guides you to the device manager screen. The Tag is supposed to be under the Universal Bus Support entry, and supposedly have a "!" icon showing the driver needs to be updated. Except it doesn't, and it doesn't. So annoying! We've had this Tag pen since 2007 or so, and it's always been a pain to load new books onto it. I wonder if they've solved these problems with the latest version of the pen reader. I guess we are stuck with the 5 books I loaded back in 2010. :P to LeapFrog.
It depends on what Operating system your using, if xp then goto devices in the control panel and click on detect new devices, also check there if the usb drivers are installed, sometimes you have to install the software before plugin it in. if it's win7 then again click on devices and also check my computer when the usb is connected, and again install the software before plugin it in. best regards.
