I installed the honeywell vista 15p and everything works, but I connected the comet pet PIR and can't get the led light to come on eventhough the system says ready. I'm not sure i connected it right. I connected the power and - to the power source, but am not sure how to connect the tamper and alarm leads. The line leading to the control panel only has 4 leads; black, red, green, yellow. I ran a test light on each line and they are all good
Leave a short jumper wire between the tamper terminals. Connect red to +12v and black to -12v on the Motion Detector. Connect red to Terminal-5 and black to Terminal-4 on the Vista-15P
Connect Green & Yellow to the alarm terminals on the Motion Detector, Connect Green & Yellow to the desired zone on the vista panel, be sure to add in your EOL 2K resistor (if using them) in series along either the Green or Yellow, preferably at the motion, but can be in the panel box if it's not a "high security risk" install (most residential systems have them in the box, although any security professional will say it's not "proper" but go ahead and check other boxes, you'll see). I think BRINKS is the only one to do the true "end of line" procedure, but it's a royal pain in the @$$ if you ever change panel types, you have to pull every wired sensor out just to change the resistors, and if it's a prewire (put in when the house was built) it's nearly impossible without rendering the wire run useless unless there's a lot of slack on the line.
Check your vista installers manual for the rest! Good luck! http://www.alarmeengros.com/installation15P.pdf
