I run "B" filters in my 24 foot pool. This is not a cheap filter and unfortunately I don't usually get much more than a day without having to remove and scrub the filter. Generally the Cell unit will indicate code 91 when the plates are dirty. I keep a collection of 7 filters on hand. When I've gone through all the filters I toss them in the back of the truck and wash them at the car wash (be sure not to leave any soap in them). I find it back breaking and not usually effective to scrub them by hand. Just be prepared for a face full of water when you hit them with the high pressure :) One other problem I had this year with my system was codes indicating low salt or scaled plates. This actually was the result of air leaking into the inlet valve at the side of the pool. Apparently this is getting to be more and more common especially in second and third year operations of the pool. Just thought I would throw that in as a heads up.
Take apart the electro cell unit and soak it in vinegar make sure the flow sensor swings freely Also bleed the system while the pump is running open the valve above the filter cartridge just enough to release the air usually a minute or so
This should help and yes it is not a bad idea to spray out that filter every day
