I just got a velodyne deq 10r subwoofer, i paired it with 5 speakercraft aim 8 three with pioneer elite vsx-23txh as my receiver. what settings would you recommend on my subwoofer in terms of hertz and volume settings? should i placed it at 70 hertz at 35 volume? when listening to music or watching HD or bluray. Thanks for the advice.

It really is up to you and how you want the sub to work with your mains.
Try one setting and adjust to find what you like.
