I just gotta ask what is the purpose of the plunger on the top of the carb. I acquired a 2001 sportsman 90 with a completely torn out wiring harness. I have it rewired for the most part. But what does that plunger do? It would appear that it gets power from the thumb throttle. Mine is smoked, is there any way to bypass this? $110 bucks for a new one, WOW
