I just purchased a connex 3400hp and my cb freinds tell me that my other radio sounds better than the cx 3400hp,my other radio is a cobra 29 ltd classic.my 29 has more audio and modulation and both radios had been peak and tune,its posible that the cx3400 has a problem

Yes cobra is a decent radio but is in no way shape or form better or even 2nd par to a connex and yes cobra sells more to truckers because their cheap remember you get what you pay for
The Cobra 29 has always been a good talking radio and is preferred by truck driver mainly for that reason! The Connex is a great radio in it's own right but sometimes needs a little help. I would suggest a power mic and there are many to choose from but Astatic is a clear winner! My two cents for a suggestion!
