I just tried to install a KAC-7204 amp and I hooked the power directly up to the battery and grounded the unit and the power light indicator doesn't come on and no power is coming from the actual amp. What am I doing wrong?
You need to connect the ACC cable from the head unit to the amp. It is normaly a blue cable, you may have to extend it depending where you have mounted the amp. The ACC cable 'tells' the amp to switch on when the head unit is powered up.
It could also be a blown fuse either on the amp itself or within the wiring for it. You should have used a power cable with a fuse block built into it, check them out.
