I let my pool heater freeze
During a recent extended cold snap, I let my pool heater freeze. When I turned on the filter, water spewed from within the heater. I've had the heater plumbed out of the system for now, but is a 10 year old heater a candidate for repair, or should I plan on buying a replacement come Spring?

Once a Pool / Jacuzzi heater freezes they will haunt you again and again. You fix one leak and weeks or months later another one appears. Sometimes the only damge done is just the manifold gasket. It would be worth HANDS ON repair "estimate" to find out if it is the manifold or the heat exchanger that has failed. If the heat exchanger has failed BUY A NEW ONE.
