I loaded the washer and turned it on, no water was coming out and the machine went into agitate. The machine does not allow water in, but starts agitating immediately. What's wrong? Thank you
We've had the washer for 9+ years and did not have any problems. This year we first notices that it started overflowing and not transfer to the spin cycle. We moved the dial to spin cycle and it finished the wash. Today, I loaded the washer and turned it on, no water was coming out and the machine went into agitate. I tried switching from darks to whites and to colored, but the results were the same. The machine does not allow water in, but starts agitating immediately. What is the matter with it?

It sounds like whatever the machine uses to sense the water level is stuck. This would make the machine think it is already full of water. I do not know enough about your machine to help any further. Maybe if you bounce each corner of the machine a few times you can free it up.
