I lost my manual for my victory 2002 v92tc. My bike has sat for months...through the winter. I replaced my old fuel. However, I cannot find my fuel filter. Is it in the tank? I got a new battery and the engine turns just fine, but it will not start. My spark plugs only have about 1000 miles of use. I was trying to avoid taking it to the shop, since it is three hours away. I suspect that this is a fuel related problem. Help! Help! ...and Thank You!
Hello The first thing to do is get a can of spray starting fluid and shoot some into the air intake of the engine, it may be your fuel has deteriorated and this makes it harder to ignite, the starting fluid may get the engine going and that may cure the problem, then you can drain out the old fuel. The fuel system doesn't have a stand alone filter it has a strainer made of fine mesh nylon that is part of the fuel tank valve.
