I need a battery and a charger for a Vector Super Spot 1,000,000 candle power unit, VEC127(?). I live in Vero Beach Fl. e-kmail is - - keithmahon1 @ live.com. Please help me
Hi, I've actually been inside these spotlights before-they have a rather small sealed lead acid battery-which can be purchased at a Batteries plus store or maybe Radio Shack, the charger should be pretty universal-12vdc about 1 amp. However in my opinion it'll be quicker and probably a bit cheaper to buy a new light-shouldn't be more than $20 dollars even at a local hardware store. The lead acid battery will probably be close to that much, not to mention a charger @ around $10. Not to mention the switch needing to be properly placed before reassembly, the rubber gasket( if the unit's water resistant ). If you do repair the light or buy a new one keep in mind they only have about a 20 minute capacity ( high wattage bulb, small battery ) so it is important to charge as often as possible. This means if you use it for even 3 minutes-put it back on charge for as long as possible before next cycle, doing this will substantially increase the battery life. I hope this was useful and thanks for asking FixYa, good luck Prodzilla.
