Have you checked to see if you have spark to the plug? If not you may have sheared the key between the flywheel and crankshaft. It is made of aluminum and could have sheared for this reason. This happened to me.
Crankshaft bent? What about the valves? New spark plug? There are soo many reasons!!! Normally it is the spark plug, try to take it out and put it against metal and pull the pull start and see if it sparks... THen jutst change the spark plug!! EASY!..............
The screen on the bottom of the gas pickup tube was stopped up on my 5hp snowblower. Take the carborator off the gas tank and give both a good cleaning. Don't forget to replace the diaphram in the carbb. A new spark plug and it ought to run forever.
