Hard drives have three jumper settings on them. 1.MASTER---MA 2.SLAVE---SL 3 CABLE SELECT----CS
If you have a hard drive on the end (last) on the ribbon cable connectors, then it is the master drive, and should be jumpered as such-- the jumper should be on the MA pins, any drive in the middle of the cable is jumpered as slave and should be on the SL pins. CS usually causes problems, and I do not use it. There are no jumpers on the motherboard that need to be changed for the hard drive. The only other settings for the hard drive are in the BIOS.
