I need to find the CMOS setup utility for an assignment in my computer class. I cannot find it after pressing F2. Is this a software issue or a hardware issue? How do I get to CMOS setup utility?

Several Gateway computers use F1 to get into BIOS. Also you may not be hitting the Function button at the right time, you might be hitting it too early or too late. What usually works is hitting F1 or F2 buttons repeatedly right after you switch on the computer.
